Blanco State Park and Bandera Pioneer RV park       March 2017

This is the dam across the Medina River at the Bandera city park in Texas.  There were a bunch of fisherfolk up and down the river.  The park is right across the highway from Pioneer RV park, where I spent my very first Wrinkle in the Road adventure.

Highway 173 coming in to Bandera. That's the Median River dam again.

The finest motor homes that America has to offer.  This is in Pioneer Park.  I am facing east and there are an equal number of these rigs behind me, and then another two full rows.  And then there's me in my little car park on the grass next to the river.

A quiet patch of bald cypress in Bandera City Park.

That little bugger on the right chased me all over the park.  Geese are mean.

Geese are much nicer in the water

Here's the bridge across the Blanco River from the entrance to the campground.

A TRIP TO GOLIAD AND GUADALUPE, APRIL 2017

The Presidio in early morning.  A sad and tragic story from early Texas history

A beautiful tunnel of trees on the footpath between the park and the city of Goliad

Only three of us in the campground on the Thursday before Easter.

A beautiful overlook at Guadalupe State Park, Easter Monday after all the crowds had left
